Do You Believe the President or the Preacher?

Published Mar 13, 2003

Muslim preacher, Sheikh Omar Bakri - شيخ عُمر بكري (a senior judge of the Islamic Shari’ah court in London, England) said, “We believe in the principle of establishing shari’ah [Islamic Law] even if this means the death of all human beings.

Americans must choose whether to believe the President or the Preacher. It can’t be both ways. President Bush said, “We know that Islam is fully compatible with liberty and tolerance and progress….” However,  Muslim preacher, Sheikh Omar Bakri said, “We believe in the principle of establishing shari’ah [Islamic Law] even if this means the death of all human beings.” That sounds as if there is no room for negotiation! If Administration officials fail to recognize that we are in a clash of civilizations that could produce a Hundred Years’ War, the American people will hold them guilty for any destruction, disease, and death and future generations will curse them for failing to deal with a known enemy.

NightSpires

Mr. Bush cannot be uninformed or at least not all of his advisors can be. All informed people know that leading Muslim clerics teach that every Muslim is obligated to make the nation in which he lives a Muslim nation, and is obligated to fight jihad (holy war). (Footnote on page 39 of Koran published in Saudi Arabia!) While not every Muslim is as dedicated to the teaching of the Koran, all true believers are. The major Muslim terrorists believe that massive terror is in your future. Whether you believe the president or the preachers may determine your family’s safety!

Bush may not believe we are fighting a religious war and are involved in a clash of civilizations, but the terrorists do!

Bin Laden’s message of jihad against the U.S. as reported on Oct. 14, 2001 was clear:  “Bring down their airliners. Prevent the safe passage of their ships. Occupy their embassies. Force the closure of their companies and banks.”  Bush may not believe we are fighting a religious war and are involved in a clash of civilizations, but the terrorists do! I believe terrorism is “on the way.” How will Americans respond to the next terror that may include nuclear, biological, and chemical attacks? I believe it will totally change society, and will be the end of the world, as we know it!

There is little doubt that terrorists will attack some large U.S. churches and schools after all they have already done so in Pakistan and Russia. Also, remember that while they hate America, they really hate church people, and they cannot differentiate between churches. They are not that smart. Churches whose pastors have been outspoken about Islam will be their target. Every church in America should have armed people in every service. For those Nervous Nellies and Pacifist Petes out there I have a question: If you and your family were sitting in church that is taken over by Muslim barbarians, wouldn’t you be thrilled to know that some of the church members were armed? All sane people know the answer to that question.

In a recent talk show aired from Indianapolis, when I tried to convince Muslims to take a very outspoken pro-American and anti-terrorist position, a caller said, “We should just go out and kill them all.” I am afraid that there are too many similar thugs out there who will respond in that way when we are hit again. On a Chattanooga television talk show, a caller told me that “We should bomb them all,” referring to all Muslim nations. Such people probably call themselves “Christians” (because they go to a church!) yet sincere Christians are identified with such thugs.

We must react as concerned, committed, and compassionate Christians, not as people have reacted in past times of distress, disease, and death.
